New Walmart Neighborhood MarketI hadn't been here in a while, but I thought I'd pop in to share a tidbit of news that might be of interest to those of you who live in the Western side of Cary,
My hair salon is moving and the little card she gave me with the new location had this written: "Corner of Hwy 55 and High House Rd next to the new Walmart" I had no idea about this, so I searched and found just enough info to gather that there is supposedly a Walmart Neighborhood Market opening. I've never heard of this type of Walmart. Here's a description according to the website: Walmart Neighborhood Markets: Walmart Neighborhood Markets offer a quick and convenient shopping experience for customers who need groceries, pharmaceuticals, and general merchandise all at our famous Every Day Low Prices. First opened in 1998, there are now 199 Walmart Neighborhood Markets, each employing about 95 associates. A typical store is about 42,000 square feet. Walmart Neighborhood Markets feature a wide variety of products, including: Fresh produce Meat and Dairy products Frozen foods Dry goods and staples Health and beauty aids Stationery and paper goods Drive-through pharmacy Deli foods Bakery items Canned and packaged goods Condiments and spices Pet supplies Household supplies One-hour photo center HT and LF are in for some competition since there are 3 of each within 2-3 miles! I'm looking forward to the convenience with lower prices. The other Walmarts just aren't on my "path" Re: New Walmart Neighborhood MarketI also had heard a Walmart was going in at the Corner of Hwy 55 and High House Rd (where the Kroger used to be) but that was awhile ago. Have you heard any info on an opening date?
Re: New Walmart Neighborhood Marketi also heard of it moving but don't have exact date of opening. Will let you know when i get a confirmed opening date of walmart.
Re: New Walmart Neighborhood MarketWent to the new Walmart at High House and Rte 55 last week. I was surprised that they don't have a deli. It's been several years since the Kroger was there but I thought there used to be a deli in there. Wonder why Walmart removed it?
