Expecting First Baby

Postby ersessoms » Thu Sep 09, 2010 11:35 am

Hello Everyone,

My husband and I are expecting our first baby on November 12th. I am a little late "stock piling" because the baby is due in 2 months. I am looking for some great deals on pampers and wipes. Please keep me posted. I am a little behind on my couponing since I've been preggo. I guess you can say LAZY. Thanks. Erica

Hi, welcome to parenthood! You might want to start with the diaper deal going on right now at CVS. You can get a box of huggies or pampers and 2 boxes of wipes for $25 and get $10 back in ECBs.

Also, if you are looking to shave $1000/year off your budget, maybe you should consider cloth diapers. We are planning on doing cloth most of the time, but we have been doing disposables at certain times.

My wife has found some really good info over on triangle mommies.

Thanks, we are going to try the CVS deal this week. I have some coupons for both Huggies and Pampers. I'm not too sure on the cloth diapers since this is my first try, but maybe.

Baby Cheapskate is a website you need to bookmark and like on FB. Every Sunday she lists the weekly diaper deals and links to all the coupons. I don't know who spends $1000 a year on diapers, but with coupons and sales, I find I spend about .08cents a diaper and about $20 a month--for name brand. My son is 8m old, you change them a little more at first, but you get more diapers in a pack, so it averages about the same. Also, join amazon.com for mom, you get free amazon prime and discounts.
