Has anyone else had problems with submitting rebates for Rite Aid items online? I had three this month (December) and only one of them showed up on the "approved" list after submittal and I will have to fax the other two in. Even though when I try to submit it the second time, it shows online that I have already submitted it.

Has anyone else had problems with Rite Aid? I saw where they lost a LOT of money and I wonder if they will even survive in 2009.

I posted an article in another thread about Rite Aid going under, along with 9 other companies that might not make it in 2009

If there are items that do not show up for your rebate, you can call the toll free number and get them to do a "purchase adjustment" for those items so that you get the rebate.

I don't know. I am still waiting for my Nov check to arrive but hopefully it will soon. Since i wasn't too sure if they would be ok w/all the businesses having trouble I haven't been looking for deals there this month.

My last 2 rebates would not scan at the bank. First ones ever.
Then!!, the last one would not even scan at the store. After 30 min. and a call to corp., they are gonna have to send me another one.
Ask the girl from corp. if she wanted me to send the other one back or tear it up and she said "It don't matter, you can tear it up or if you can get another store or bank to take it it will just be a freebie. Shocked Exclamation Shocked Shocked

I received my check for November and promptly cashed it at the store. It was worth it for me because my check was for almost $50.00. I did a few deals at Rite Aid this month, and coupled with my $20.00 gift of savings, I'm hoping to receive a check for December's rebates for approximately $27.00. If I ever see the check, I'll go straight to the store and buy a pack of gum and take my cash and go.

BTW, I just received a rebate check for $1.50 in the mail. It was from Chapstick. Do I dare cash it at my bank? I'd hate to pay $30.00 in returned check fees for a measly $1.50 check. Any thoughts?

Since the first post, I had a second rebate that didn't appear after I submitted it online, so this morning I faxed the information fro both missing items to Rite Aid. I'll keep you posted as to the results.

I'm wondering if there may be a problem with submitting different items at different times during the same month? Maybe they want you to submit them all at once?

I've always just entered my receipts when I get them. I even enter the ones I don't think there is a rebate on. Got me rebates twice that want listed that I could find.
Never had a problem with that part of it.

You do not need to enter your receipts at the same time. The rebate system will keep track of what you purchased. Perhaps the items you purchased were not coded for the rebates.

Update #2:

I got the first check for $5 yesterday from a razor rebate that went through online, came about 2 weeks after I submitted it, which I think is pretty fast for a rebate (if the check cashes, that is..)

Friday I faxed in the information on the other two rebates that the online submission "didn't take", and got an e-mail response last night saying they were crediting my account for the $6 for those two and should receive the check shortly.

If nothing else, at least they are prompt.

Yes, they are prompt. I bought something on a raincheck for the first time, when it was out of stock during the sale date (FAR). I faxed the info and was told it would be a week to 10 days before I heard anything. I got an email the next day that is had been credited to my account, and sure enough, there it was.
I have always thought RA was very speedy in resolving rebate issues.
I feel bad for the condition the chain is in, making me hesitant to shop there. I'm sure that fear is worsening their situation.
